The week starting Monday, July 26, brings a solid lineup of scheduled economic data to the financial markets. Apart from updates from labor departments, central banks, and government institutions, market participants will also go through another week of series of earnings reports from both sides of the Atlantic.

To kickstart the week, on Monday, Germany will announce its July figure for the German Ifo Business Climate. The report, which measures expectations for the next six months, is set to arrive at 04:00 am EST.

On Tuesday, at 08:30 am EST, the US will report Core Durable Goods Orders on a monthly basis for July. Next follows the US CB Consumer Confidence data for July at 10:00 am EST. Later, at 09:30 pm EST, Australia will release its Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures for the second quarter. The report, on a quarterly basis, measures the change in the prices of goods and services. The indicator is a key way to measure inflation.

On Wednesday, at 08:30 am EST, Canada will deliver its Core Consumer Price Index report for June. Later, at 02:00 pm EST, the highlight of the week arrives.

The US Federal Reserve will publish its interest rate decision, followed by a press conference with Fed Chair Jay Powell. The update by the US central bank will be closely watched by traders and investors as they will expect to get a glimpse into Fed’s forward guidance and when and how it plans to raise rates and unwind its monetary stimulus.

German Unemployment and Trading Data Presented

On Thursday, at 03:55 am EST, Germany will announce its unemployment change. The US follows at 08:30 am EST with its GDP report for the second quarter on a quarterly basis.

On Friday, the last trading day of the month, Germany releases its GDP data for the second quarter, on a quarterly basis. The report is scheduled to arrive at 02:00 am EST. At 05:00 am EST, the euro zone’s CPI report will be released for July, on an annual basis. At 08:30 am EST, Canada will publish its GDP figures for May, on a monthly basis.

On the earnings front, second-quarter financial results will be reported by technology giants and other big-name companies in the US and Europe as follows:

– Monday: Tesla Inc., LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.

– Tuesday: Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp., Google-parent Alphabet Inc., Visa Inc., Starbucks Corp.

– Wednesday: Facebook Inc., PayPal Inc., Pfizer Inc., Shopify Inc., McDonald’s Corp., Boeing Co.

– Thursday: Amazon.com Inc., MasterCard Inc., Comcast Corp., Merck Co., AstraZeneca PLC

– Friday: Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Procter & Gamble Co., ExxonMobil Corp., Chevron Corp.
