The week starting March 15 is packed with significant economic data coming from around the globe. On Monday, the Australian central bank kicks off the week with its monetary policy meeting minutes when investors will hear if the bank will maintain its current policy. Additionally, the market will be looking for fresh updates on the Australian economic outlook. The policy report is expected to land at 07:30 pm EST.

Tuesday kicks off with German data on the radar. The German ZEW economic sentiment for March will be released. The report, set for 05:00 am EST, will gauge the six-month economic outlook. Next on the agenda, US core retail sales figures for February will be published alongside total retail sales at 07:30 am EST.

Key Data Outputs From Around the Globe

On Wednesday, the eurozone will release CPI year-to-year report for February. The data will gauge if there has been an increase in prices that will either confirm investorsā€™ worries over rising inflation or ease their concerns as the eurozone economy enters into the second quarter. Eurozone CPI report is scheduled for 05:00 am EST. At 07:30, Canada will release its February core CPI data. Later, at 1:00, the FOMC will release its statement on the economy and deliver its latest economic outlook report. At the same time, the Federal Reserve will publish its interest rate decision. Half an hour later, the FOMC will hold a press conference and address current economic challenges and prospects for recovery.

At 04:45 pm EST, New Zealand will publish its GDP figures for the fourth quarter of 2020. Australia follows with its employment change report set for 07:30 pm EST.

Thursday brings Bank of Englandā€™s interest rate decision at 07:00 am EST. The central bank is expected to leave the interest rate unchanged at 0.10%. Later, at 08:30 am EST, the US Labor Department will report initial jobless claims. Australia announces retail sales at 07:30 pm EST. The Bank of Japan will hold a press conference at 09:30 pm EST.

Friday is relatively lightweight with the Canadian core retail sales figures scheduled to arrive at 07:30 am EST.
